Service Description

"To float, to be held unconditionally by water." The aquatic world offers a fluid expanse to both mind and body.​ Watsu® is the world’s first form of aquatic bodywork using passive stretching, acupressure, and massage while floating the receiver in warm water. Harold Dull studied Zen Shiatsu under Master Shizuto Masunaga. Harold Dull’s union of this work and California hot springs in the 1980’s has since grown to incorporate various other techniques for individuals, wellness centres, Watsu® training centre's, retreats, luxury spas and has gained recognition around the world. Grounded in holistic principles of mind, body and spirit connectivity, aquatic bodywork combines the foundations of massage, shiatsu, muscle stretching, joint mobilisation, form of meditation performed in a heated pool at 35° Susanne is a (Worldwide Aquatic Bodywork Association) WABA Accredited WATSU® Practitioner. Susanne began her first training in Watsu® with Harold Dull in 2005. Susanne's work has many applications including physical and emotional rehabilitation, relaxation and rejuvenation. Your body will be supported in warm water while you are floated, rocked, stretched and cradled. Moments of stillness combined with gentle rhythmic movements allow the whole body to relax and release unlike anything on land. The profoundly relaxing effects of the warm water and the nurturing create a range of therapeutic benefits and potential healing on a deep physical and emotional level.
